would you rather be sucked into a volcano, or eaten by sharks?
I came across this and I wanted to show you if only because I want to share the lovely image of someone sitting in a boat filled with cushions. One day I’ll live by the water with a boat and some cushions. Nothing else, s’all I’ll need. The cushions could be filled with edible stuffing.. that I’d grow on the river bank and the material on the cushions could be folded out to make a shelter over the boat when it rains. I would just drift about wherever I wanted. It wouldn’t be a very big boat.
It’s an in-depth look at White Chalk, if that floats your boat. Ooh there’s the boat again.
I would embed that video but wordpress won’t let me
go here if you like little independent magazines with drawings and writing and the like i haven’t delved into it but it looks alright, i think they even pay their contributors. Oh.. they don’t yet, but they want to soon. hmm anyway..
Found this site today aswel http://fedbybirds.com/ the most recent post features sounds from Brighton Pier set to still pictures, which is slightly chilling. Especially the one of the rollercoaster and the four screaming teenage boys. It starts off with what sounds like an industrial {by that i mean massive} set of supermarket trollies crashing into them and then they’re put on a long factory conveoyor belt and stamped with labels. Underneath all that it has a selection of pictures of birds from behind; their feathers are rather pleasing to look at and it makes me want to stroke a bird
.
There’s a load of intriguing looking links to click there which I want to get lost in.. I feel like a brief period of hibernation is approaching. I’ll fatten myself up first and then live vicariously through the internet until I’m ready and willing to face people again. I know I’m burying my head in the sand but its nice down here for a while, I think I’ll find bits of myself below the surface that I can throw at people who piss me off
things im liking right now are -
the night. i love the night so much more than the day.
finally getting sopranos series 3 from the library.
my spoon what i whittled out of a chunk of birch.
finding a {computer} keyboard on the side of the road some rich bugger was throwing out and then figuring out how to reset the keyboard to english mode so the @ symbol is now behaving properly and being able to stop using the old keyboard who’s buttons didn’t press down properly. however, on this “new” one half the letters have been rubbed off, its lucky i’m such an amazing typer.
getting excited about the green man festival..
and rejoicing about finding a free car me and my mate will be able to take on the mongol rally!
things i dont like right now -
being woken up really early after 4 days of not much sleep by incessant banging on the door to be greeted by an angry friend in pain.
worrying about the fact that i just ate a lump of mouldy pesto that i hadn’t noticed was mouldy and was buried under beans cheese and potato – i thought it was just an “earthy” part of the potato.
and being charged £2.40 for what was effectively the worst sandwich ive ever experienced. i had a craving for peanut butter and went for it. on brown bread. brilliant. but it was thin cheap brown bread, not a seed in sight – which makes me sound really spoilt, but if i’m paying that much i want it to be top notch. Plus it was quite obviously made my someone who’s never eaten a peanut butter sandwich in their lves becasue i was gagging all the way through it thanks to the enormously thick layer i had to move around my mouth. I just had to wash it down with a massive slice of apple pie to stop it all coming up again.
can’t end on a bad note. there are horses in it… loads of them! {probably one for the late night sleepy feeling}
