That’s basically the point yeah. Either you pick a subject and rant the same things about it until the end of time, or you self obsess until you feel self important and then forget about everyone else so you can really enjoy being selfish.
I know that’s what I do.

i know. i realise this is also a pretty ridiculous thing for me to post.
i just dont feel comfortable ranting about myself, and don’t feel as though i know enough about anything to rant about that, or feel as though it will be of any importance whatsoever especailly when other people do it so much better. i did enjoy slagging off jeremy kyle, but anyone can sound good if they hate something.
therefore i feel as though me having a blog is a waste of time and from time to time i want to delete it and become frustrated with the whole idea of blogs all together. i could maybe turn this into some sort of post but i’m always left with the feeling of what is the point. what is the point of anything? yeah..well exactly. {there is of course a point to things like home help and medical degrees and health and safety officers and treehouses. i should just stick to spider solitaire and msn messenger.} i am very aware of how much im contradicting myself by the way.
note to self and others – never put beetroot into a vegetable stew because it will make it taste disgusting – i suppose this reply serves at least a small purpose then

To be honest, I think the me thing is fine. For me, I write myblog because it a) keeps me writing b) gives me a chance to sort my thoughts out every now and then and c)gives my ego a massage every now and then.
Now, that third one is probably a bad thing, but yeah, all the reasons are selfish, but that doesn’t make it bad.
The worst that’s going to happen is someone you’ve never met is going to think your self obsessed. It doesn’t hurt anyone, and psychomologically, it’s a good thing to get thoughts out and down.
Also, there’s studies out there that say that people who blog honestly and positively start behaving more like that in real life, compared to people just keeping a diary in the same way.
Public personae and all that.
And yeah, every now and then you can warn people about putting beetroot in soup. I personally think that beetroot is a dangerous thing. Like uranium, it’s potentially useful, but too easily used by the forces of darkness.
